I have dedicated my best years to it, and through it I have traveled much of my country — especially remote and disadvantaged regions where Indigenous peoples survive and resist. However, like the vast majority of Mexicans, I am the result of the fusion between two cultures, two worldviews that have almost always been in conflicto".

"I am grateful and deeply honored, but my merits do not go beyond these few centimeters of illusion, because there is no doubt: photography is not the truth, but the interpretation of a reality that the artist apprehends according to their knowledge, emotions, dreams, and intuition".
