The State Civil Protection Council, through the Secretariat of Cultures and Arts (Seculta), announced that due to the impact of Hurricane Erick on the coasts of Oaxaca, the selection process for the representative of the Diosa Centéotl 2025, originally scheduled for June 20 and 21, will be rescheduled.

“Participants from the eight regions of the state, as well as their companions, judges, artists, hosts, and special guests, have been notified of this decision as a preventive and protective measure, and also in solidarity with the affected communities.”

The organizers stated that as soon as weather conditions allow, and with continued consideration for the affected areas, a new date for the event will be communicated to participants and authorities.
